Mit einem Brennweitenbereich von 60 mm bis 600 mm erreicht dieses 10×-Hypertelezoom die gleiche hohe Bildqualität wie das Sigma 150–600mm F5–6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports. Durch seine Konstruktion mit 25 Linsen in 19 Gruppen liefert es über den gesamten Zoombereich hinweg eine gleichbleibend hohe Abbildungsleistung.

Das Objektiv ist mit dem Intelligent OS (*) ausgestattet, das auf einem neuesten Algorithmus basiert und eine Bildstabilisierung von bis zu 4 Stufen*2 ermöglicht. Der schnelle Autofokus mit HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) und optimiertem Algorithmus erfasst Bewegungen blitzschnell und präzise. Hoher Zoomfaktor, herausragende Bildqualität und außergewöhnliche Mobilität, das Sigma 60–600mm F4.5–6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports markiert die Geburt einer neuen Objektivklasse, die bestehende Hochleistungszooms weit übertrifft.

Ganz im Sinne des Sports-Line-Konzepts erfüllt dieses Objektiv die Bedürfnisse von Fotograf*innen nach exzellenter Action-Performance. Der „Intelligent OS“-Algorithmus wurde speziell für Mitziehaufnahmen entwickelt. Er ermöglicht eine wirksame Bildstabilisierung auch bei vertikalen oder diagonalen Kamerabewegungen, unabhängig von der Ausrichtung. Diese Funktion ist bei allen Teleobjektiven von Sigma verfügbar, die mit OS-Schaltern 1 und 2 ausgestattet sind (ausgenommen Sigma 120–300mm F2.8 DG OS HSM | Sports).
